Roller Shutters can be used primarily as moving panel elements for locking cabinet systems, control panels and operating consoles etc. The major advantage of the system is its flexibility, allowing it to be housed within the cabinet, and requiring far less space than swing or sliding doors. The Roller Shutter System is suitable for constructing manually-operated vertical and horizontal roller shutters on frames built from Profiles 8. The system consists of the Roller Shutter Guide and the Roller Shutter itself, both of which are of modular design. The Roller Shutter is available in aluminium or lightweight composite. Detailed installation instructions are included with the Roller Shutter Curved Guide Set 45°.

The Roller Shutter Guide is of modular design and consists of an Roller Shutter Guide Profile and Roller Shutter Curved Guides 45°. The Roller Shutter Guide Strip is mounted onto the guide elements in order to ensure that the Roller Shutter glides smoothly and securely. The process of assembling the guide begins with defining the position of all the guide elements. The lengths required for the Roller Shutter Guide Profiles are shown in the following table. The total length of the guide must allow the Roller Shutter to be moved to each terminal position. The Roller Shutter Guide Profiles are attached to the Profile 8 grooves with Clip 8 St (Section 1.2 Accessories for Profiles). 5 clips are recommended per 1 m Roller Shutter Guide Profile.
