Profiles 8 40x32 and 80x32 light are particularly suitable for use as frames and struts in table, shelving and cabinet constructions. They are then used to connect profiles of modular dimension 40 mm. When used in conjunction with profiles with modular dimensions, this results in a recess of 8 mm. This enables e.g. a panel element (up to 8 mm thick) to be run over and alongside 32 mm wide profiles in one continuous length. The profile on the inside can be used as a high-strength support (e.g. for a shelf) and reinforces the entire construction.
When fitting the profiles with the smooth outer face towards the observer, the construction has a particularly light feel to it without actually losing anything in terms of stability. The other three sides of the profile have Profile 8 light grooves which enable the use of Line 8 fastening elements and accessories. It is also possible to bond panel elements to the smooth side of the profiles to minimize noise transmission.
