Profile 8 40x40 2N180 E is a universal construction profile made of high-quality anodized aluminium in the modular dimension of Line 8. This considerably weight-reduced aluminium profile in the economy (E) design variant from item features two open Line 8 profile grooves that are arranged at 180° to each other. This aluminium profile can be used to build frames that have easy-to-clean unbroken outer surfaces.
The profiles in Line 8 are available in standard, light and economy (E) design variants. Due to additional cavities, a Profile 8 40x40 light weighs around 30 percent less than a Profile 8 40x40 in the same length. A Profile 8 40x40 E weighs approximately 45 percent less. The area moments of inertia against profile deflection and the maximum groove load-bearing capacity of the selected profile must be given due consideration in respect of the loads involved.
Profiles 8 E from item are available with unbroken outer sides in a variety of arrangements. On the weight-optimised economy profiles, there is no profile groove concealed under the profile wall.
