Cover Profiles have two different applications. When installed with the closed side facing out, they seal a groove to keep dirt out. When installed with the open side facing out, they can be used to accommodate panel elements, holding them securely in the profile groove and stopping them from rattling. Cover Profile 5 ESD and Cover Profile 6 ESD are made of an electrostatically dissipative plastic (surface resistance <10 6 Ω). They are therefore ideal for use in ESD-safe constructions.
