The plug-in modules connect item C-series Controllers to system environments via the EtherCAT, PROFIBUS or PROFINET fieldbus standards. As plug-and-play solutions, the modules are simply inserted into one of the expansion slots. The necessary connections for the relevant network are located at the front of the modules.
