Profile X 8 120x40 4NO180 light is a universal construction profile made of high-quality anodized aluminium in the modular dimension of Line X 8. This weight-reduced aluminium profile in the light design variant from item features two open and four closed Line 8 profile grooves. The profile wall on the two wider sides is smooth and unbroken, although the closed grooves here can be easily opened up. This aluminium profile can be used to build frames and cabins that have easy-to-clean outer surfaces.
All Line 8 profiles are mutually compatible, even if they exhibit special characteristics and properties. Profiles 8 feature rounded edges (R4). Profiles X 8 feature a minimal edge radius (R1) that ensures smooth transitions can be achieved between aluminium profiles. Profiles 8 XMS are based on the contour of Profiles X 8. They feature special grooves designed to accommodate lip seals and usually have an integrated cable conduit.
Line 8 profiles from item are available with closed grooves in a variety of arrangements. The profile wall can be opened up partially or completely so that the groove underneath can be used. The NO design variant indicates that the closed grooves are particularly easy to open up thanks to two notches on the underside of the outer surface. Automatic-Fastening Set 8 NO (0.0.489.96) is ideal for connecting profiles together. It requires only a minimal opening in the groove and comes with its own cap.
T-Slot Opener 8NO is used to remove the groove cover over any length beginning from the end face of the profile or any other opening of sufficient size. If the opening does not extend to the end of the profile, the end of the opening must be defined with a hole of ⌀ 9.2 mm.
