Profile 8 80x40 light is a universal construction profile made of high-quality anodized aluminium in the modular dimension of Line 8. This weight-reduced aluminium profile in the light design variant from item features six open Line 8 profile grooves.
The profiles in Line 8 are available in standard, light and economy (E) design variants. Due to additional cavities, a Profile 8 80x40 light weighs around 33 percent less than a Profile 8 80x40 in the same length. A Profile 8 80x40 E weighs approximately 47 percent less. The area moments of inertia against profile deflection and the maximum groove load-bearing capacity of the selected profile must be given due consideration in respect of the loads involved.
