A material airlock acts as a secure link between a cleanroom and the outside world, ensuring products and consumables can be safely moved from one to the other. This material airlock uses alternately opening doors to ensure the pressure in the cleanroom does not drop and to prevent a considerable exchange of air between the clean production environment and the outside area.
Material Airlock X 8, Locking Mechanism ensures that two opposite doors cannot be open at the same time. A coupling mechanism keeps one door of the airlock locked shut as soon as the opposite door is opened. This intuitive failsafe solution doesn’t require any cabling. The doors are mechanically connected by a Tube D6.3 (0.0.476.72).
Material Airlock X 8, Locking Mechanism from item is intuitive to use, even when wearing gloves. The mechanism reliably prevents incorrect use. The door of an airlock can only be opened when the opposite door is closed and the opposite latch is in the correct position. The components consist primarily of anodized aluminium and cleanroom-safe POM with optimum sliding properties, which reduces particle emissions.
