Automatic-Fastening Set F 8 S 40, bright zinc-plated from item joins two Line 8 profiles at a right angle to create a connection that is particularly highly resistant to displacement, torsion and bending. The T-Slot Nut F with two threads makes it easier to fasten both Automatic Fasteners in the modular dimension of 40 mm. Thanks to its integrated grub screw, T-Slot Nut F is additionally secured against unintentional movement in the groove. This grub screw also creates an ESD-safe connection between the T-Slot Nut and profile. To speed up assembly, the compact Automatic Fasteners 8 S are screwed into the groove with their screws already fitted in place. Thanks to this captive screw, the fastener can be tightened straight away. This also makes it easier to use the fastener with profiles that have a closed groove.

The captive screw makes it much simpler to fit Automatic-Fastening Set 8 S. The screw is supplied already fitted in place. This means the Automatic Fastener can be immediately driven into a Line 8 groove. The thread of Automatic Fastener 8 S is conical and has an optimised number of turns and shape. Thanks to its patented thread, this fastener exhibits an especially high resistance to axial forces, even though the necessary insertion torque is the same as for an Automatic Fastener 8.

When screwed into place, the grub screw of an item T-Slot Nut F breaks through the electrically insulating anodized surface covering of the aluminium profile. This makes T-Slot Nuts F suitable for ESD-safe attachments to be used inside an EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area). In the case of larger constructions – for example, for use in a cleanroom – they can create an ESD-safe profile connection without the need for any additional elements.

By pre-positioning T-Slot Nuts F, you can assemble larger structures such as rooms and cabins easily, quickly and without errors. To do this, drill a hole into the base of the profile groove at the desired locations to provide a centring point for the sprung ball of each T-Slot Nut F. The friction-based connection between the grub screw and the groove also enhances the displacement force of the T-Slot Nut.

Automatic Fasteners should generally be used in pairs. To speed up assembly work, sets are also available that contain two Automatic Fasteners 8 S and one T-Slot Nut with two threads. T-Slot Nut F, which has two threads and a grub screw, also ensures that fixings can be reliably pre-positioned and creates an ESD-safe profile connection.

With automatic fastening sets, profiles can be retrofitted or moved in existing constructions.
